Position Summary Information

Position Summary

The Computer Lab Attendant works under the direct supervision of the Computer Lab Manager. The position is responsible for monitoring the open computer lab in the Academic Support Center, assisting students with technology needs, tracking client attendance in the Academic Support Center, and maintaining client files.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Monitor the use of the open computer lab.
- Ensure that the lab is only utilized by current students, faculty, staff, and students seeking admission to APSU.
- Report any computers in need of repair to the Director.
- Oversee the evacuation of the building during fire or severe weather.
- Create and update information in client files.
- Conduct weekly reconciliations of data files to ensure the integrity of data collection.
- Assist students with D2L, Onestop, APMail, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Assist in administering the semesterly survey of Academic Support Center clients.
- Ensure the Academic Support Center is secured at closing.
- Receive guests and incoming calls.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
Required Minimum Qualifications

- Must be an APSU student enrolled at least 1/2 time.
- Minimum 2.5 overall combined GPA unless you are a first-semester freshman (and you have no overall combined GPA).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- A background check may be required of the successful applicant.
