Position Summary Information

Position Summary

The Student Data Analytics Processor will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Career Services. The position is responsible for organizing and running data analytics as directed by supervisor for the First Destination Survey data and career services statistics. The position will be required to build graphs, info graphics, and reports based on the data. Duties may include, but are not limited to conducting follow-up surveys by phone and/or email, inputting data, and regularly communicating with supervisor on status of reported data.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Work with a large and growing educational dataset using descriptive statistics and data visualization tools.
- Work together with a small team to plan, clean, analyze, and communicate.
- Collaborate with team to understand and communicate results, and to put insights into operation.
- Create reproducible automated reports that can be implemented at a large scale.
- Lead the execution of all administrative procedures associated with survey or qualitative research, including the development and processing of contracts, procuring contact lists, setting up email campaigns, and administering incentives to research participants.
- Analyze and interpret data and identify patterns from data collected through surveys, qualitative interviews, observational data, cognitive interviews, and focus groups.
- Use statistical software to manage and manipulate quantitative data sets; including variable creation, data cleaning and recoding, and translating data from one program to another.
- Prepare statistical and qualitative reports and presentations.
- Perform other job-related duties or tasks as assigned or required.

Physical Requirements
Required Minimum Qualifications

- Must be an APSU student enrolled at least 1/2 time.
- Two years of college (60 credit hours).
- Minimum 3.0 overall combined GPA.
- Basic computer skills.
- In-depth knowledge of subject material (data analytics).
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- A background check may be required of the successful applicant.
